Enrolment bar · example statusesThe two statuses are copied from the banner on your current home page as examples. They are meant to be changed each term.
Type, colour and logo · recommendationsHeadings are Montserrat, your brand font. Body text is Lexend, a recommendation: it is designed for reading ease, which suits this audience, and your brief invited web typography suggestions. All four of your palette colours are used; the two darker greens are derived from them so text and buttons meet contrast standards. A lighter variant is easy if these feel heavy. The "JL" circle is a placeholder for your existing logo.
Hero · from the briefYour headline, subline and both buttons, straight from the brief. The word "sound" is marked with phonics sound buttons: a dot when one letter makes the sound, a line when two or more do. Does this match how you mark sounds in lessons? The arch would hold a real photo of you teaching.

Recognition · "They understand my child"Uses the exact question from your brief, then your six signs. A parent should nod along before they read a word about services.
Does this sound familiar?

My child is bright and capable, so why is reading and spelling so difficult?

We teach children how words work and give them reliable strategies they can use independently.

  • Guesses words rather than sounding them out
  • Struggles to remember sounds or spelling patterns
  • Avoids reading, or finds it slow and tiring
  • Finds spelling, or longer words, hard
  • Has dyslexia, or you suspect it
  • Is losing confidence as a learner

There is something we can do to help.

Key message · interactiveYour core idea, shown rather than told. Each word splits into its sounds. The example words are ours; we would choose the final set with you. Content mirrors the "Key Concepts" on your current Lessons page.
More than tutoring

We teach children what to do when they don't know a word.

Instead of guessing, children learn how words work and get reliable strategies they can use on their own.

What happens nextTaken from "What to Expect After Enrolling" on your current site. Step 1 describes the shorter, phone-friendly form we would propose; your current form asks parents to use a computer. Knowing the steps lowers the barrier for an anxious parent.
Getting started

What happens after you get in touch

  1. Register your interest

Tell us about your child using a short form. It works on your phone.

  2. Initial assessment

Your child meets their tutor and completes a phonological and phonemic awareness assessment.

  3. A plan for your child

We build a structured plan from the results and, for micro-groups, find the right match.

  4. Weekly lessons

40–45 minute multi-sensory lessons on a steady weekly routine. Parents are welcome to sit in.

Meet the founder

Hi, I'm Nikki.

My own experience supporting my son with dyslexia was a major reason behind establishing Just Literacy.

I've been a primary school teacher for more than 20 years. When my son was finally diagnosed with dyslexia, Structured Literacy changed everything for him, in his reading and in his confidence. I've since completed extensive professional learning in Structured Literacy.
